  • Greetings

My name is Steven Costner and I am the owner and founder of Souther Tier Cleaning Company, and I have built this company from over 17 years of hands-on healthcare housekeeping experience, and although my business is small but growing, my mind and professional expertise qualify, and exceeds the challenges and expectations of the services that I provide.

In 2005 I started my entry level position as an environmental Service worker and floor care technician at Sister of Charity Hospital for Sodexo. Thereafter, in 2010, I transitioned over to Erie County Medical Center, and that is where I earned my stripes and proved myself worthy as a leader. In 2014/15 I became the Sr floor Tec, and my responsibilities was training, floor care/Maintenace, environmental services work and supervision, and during this time, I enrolled back into Erie Community College.

In 2016 I was promoted to the supervisor of the Housekeeping Department at the Terrace View Long Term Care facility at ECMC, and in 2017, Southern Tier Cleaning Company LLC was born, but I chose to finish college being that that was one of my life goals that I was determined to accomplish.

ln 2019 I was offered a supervisor position with Xanitos co that was currently operating out of the Kaleida Facilities for the Environmental Services department. During this time, I also Started my BBA at the University at Buffalo. During my employment With Xanitos, I was able to learn and grow my knowledge and expertise at John R. Oishei Children's, Millard Fillmore Suburban and Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute.

In the year ending of 2020, I Transition over to Kenmore Mercy Hospital, seeking to reach a career goal after my graduation from UB. May of 2021, I graduated with my Bachelors of Science degree in Business administration with a HR concentration at 35 years old, and in November of 2021 one of my career goals was complete. I became a manager at Canterbury woods Williamsville for the housekeeping department which made me the head of the housekeeping department overall. My responsibilities consist of independent and assisted living, memory care unit, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, including all common areas on campus.

I am dedicated and determined to accomplish all of my goals and, everything I dreamed to be. In my life currently, my dreams and vision has become my reality, and now, it's time to live in my purpose fully, and grow my own business with all that I have learned over the years in my profession.
